Gaucho country

South brazil & Uruguay

When you think of Brazil often the first things that come to your mind are the Amazon, soccer, Samba & Carnaval.  But this huge country has so much more to offer.

Together with very experienced guides you are going to discover the beauty of the land of the Gauchos - the traditional cowherders of South Brazil, Uruguai and Argentina.

Besides of stunning nature scenes you will dive deep into the rich culture of these strong, independent people.

Zipping Mate tea from the traditional calabash gourd (Chimarrão), savour a tender meat (Churrasco) grilled in the typical Gaucho way and listen to the  songs ot the locals playing the accordeon or guitar singing their songs about the land and it's people.

A great way to get to know the "Terra Gaúcha" is on horseback. The Criolllo horses are especially sure-footed and enduring.

Even riders with few equestrian experience can join the trips.
The ride starts at the Brazilian Atlantik coast of takes us along the impressive Canyons of the Aparados da Serra National Park.

After 5 days we will take you to another natural gem - the Pampa of Uruguay. The horses will take you through dense forrests and great plains and plateaus.

"No pinta quien tiene gana sino quien sabe pintar."

There are also wonderful trekking areas at the heart of north Uruguai - around the area of Vale del Lunarejo. The trek leads us along beautiful rivers, waterfalls through the intact and untouched nature of the Valle del Lunarejo National Park.

Depending on the needs and wishes of the group the trip can consist of a horse trek or a mixture of time in the saddle and trekking.
